Cupid’s Crossing Book 1: A Valentine’s Proposal Book 2: A Fourth of July Proposal
Harlequin Friday review :
Small town contemporary romance fans will find themselves falling in love with Kim Findlay’s charming new tale that makes for perfect reading during the most romantic month of the year: A Valentine’s Proposal.
As a small town Vet and Wedding planner start a fake relationship that turns into love just in time for Valentine.
I’ve never read Kim Findlay’s contemporary romances before, but after reading A Valentine’s Proposal, I’ve certainly added her name to my auto-buy list. Kim Findlay writes with great humor and charm and in A Valentine’s Proposal has written a touching, witty and emotional page-turner featuring a heroine I adored and a gorgeous hero who will steal readers’ hearts.
Over-the-top Molly Cyrs hardly seems a match for bookish Callan Avery. But when Molly suggests they pose as a couple to assuage Stonefield’s anxiety about its new male librarian, his pretend paramour is all Callan can think about. Callan’s looking for a family, though, and kids aren’t in Molly’s story. Unless he can convince Molly that she’s not “too much”…and that to him, she’s just enough!

Sutton’s Place
Book 1: Her Hometown Man Book 2: An Unexpected Cowboy Book 3: Expecting Her Ex’s Baby Book 4: Falling for His Fake Girlfriend Book 5: Her Younger Man
ARC Book Review :
Stonefield New Hampshire doesn’t appear ready for Callan, the small town’s first male librarian. Molly, a fixture in the town, suggests she and Callan fake date. That way he’ll skate through his probationary period, and she’ll have a date for her friend Gwen’s wedding. Win win. The fake dating soon starts feeling like the real thing, but a philosophical deal breaker may make force their breakup despite their connection.
Molly makes a wonderful heroine. She’s quirky, likable, and relatable. Her ADHD is well portrayed as is her complicated relationship with her parents and her strong friendships with the Sutton sisters and Chelsea, the owner of the local coffee shop. Callan’s BFF Rome provides wonderful remote support though video chats. I’m hoping Chelsea finds a happy ever after in the next installment of the Sutton’s Place series.
Days away from testifying in a bank robbery and murder case, witness Kari Danville’s safe house is breached, forcing her to run for her life. Scared, alone and pregnant, her only hope for survival rests in the protection of FBI agent Marc Callahan. With everyone in uniform a suspect, Marc goes rogue to keep her alive. Deep in hiding as the holidays approach, the vulnerable mother-to-be proves a dangerous distraction. But Marc can’t lose another witness on his watch. As the Christmastime trial draws near, the killer stalks ever closer. And Marc must find a way to shield Kari—and her unborn baby—long enough for justice to be served.

Watt and Bothered: Monster Between the Sheets ( Book one)
Having his beloved home town turn monstrous overnight was rough for Silas Adler. Even more difficult was finding out that he suddenly had the power to channel electricity…at the expense of being able to touch anyone.
Two decades later, he was stunned when Juniper Finch stumbled into his arms without being hurt. It was a lucky thing since Silas knew at first glance that Juniper was meant to be his.

This is a fun and sexy instant love series. This two hour read is perfect for a quick afternoon read for anyone who loves fairy tale romance or instant love romances. The Monsters will want you to move too Screaming Woods.
Every person has that one thing they’re known for, and it doesn’t matter what you do, that one thing—whether good or bad—follows you around like a bloodhound for the rest of your life. For me it’s a story I wrote when I was fifteen. Forever more I will be known as the Reece the Rogue Pirate girl, instead of Josie Peterson. Why couldn’t I be known for all the cute children’s stories I’ve written about my family’s pumpkin patch?
Tragically, the torrid story I wrote as a teen was based on a real person, Reece Cavanaugh. And guess what? He grew up to be a pirate—okay, lawyer. Same thing. To make matters worse, the man is representing my ex-fiancé who wants to steal my treasure, aka engagement ring. If that wasn’t the icing on the cake, Reece has an adorable daughter who happens to be my new student. That’s right, I must now have actual conversations with him after avoiding him for half my life, even by hiding behind banana displays when needed. But the more I get to know Reece—the real version, not the imaginary one who ravishes me on sandy beaches—I can’t help but wish we could roll around in the sand together. There’s a problem though, the school I work for frowns upon relationships between parents and teachers. And it’s pumpkin season, which means all my free time is spent on the family farm. But when he kisses me, I can’t help wanting to break all the rules and get tangled up in the barn. The burning question is, am I brave enough to make my story a reality or will it be another bad ending?
From USA Today bestselling author Jennifer Peel comes a curl your toes and cuddle up with your favorite blanket and cocoa romantic comedy.
KU book pick :
Jennifer Peel writes a brilliant story that is filled with laughter and love. Josie has had a crazy crush on Reece since High School but after a story she wrote about him when she was 15 was shared in high school she’s had to live with the notoriety of being the pirate girl. Years later Josie comes face-to-face with Reece when he represents her ex, and then again when his daughter Andi becomes a student in her class. Gradually they become friends… Jennifer writes such a heartfelt tale of embarrassment, first crushes, unrequited love, and how all that translates into adulthood. A worthy read this Holiday season.
Lord Lysander Blackstone, the stern Duke of Montcroix, has only one interest: increasing his considerable fortune. After a series of betrayals, he keeps his emotions buried deep. Money, after all, can’t break a man’s heart—or make promises it can’t keep. But when his reputation for being heartless jeopardizes a new business deal, he finds himself seeking a most unusual—and alluring—solution . . .
Once an up-and-coming ballerina, Miss Geneviève Valery is now hopelessly out of work. After refusing to become a wealthy patron’s mistress, Nève was promptly shown the door to the streets. When she accidentally saves the life of a handsome duke, she doubts the encounter will go any better than her last brush with nobility. But instead of propositioning her, Montcroix makes Nève an offer she would be a fool to refuse: act as his fake fiancée in exchange for fortune enough to start over.
Only neither is prepared when very real feelings begin to grow between them. They both stand to win . . . but only if they’re willing to risk their hearts.
book review (from Library)
Super fun, easy read with a lovable heroine and interesting hero. The plot was very light, it would have been better if it had an antagonist, but I really enjoyed it and will read everything Amalie howard writes. Such a fun read.

When Annie Barkley discovers a boy living in the attic of her cookie shop, she’s stunned—and oddly elated. She can almost believe the universe is giving her back the infant son she lost eleven years ago.
Annie senses that something bad happened to the boy, but he won’t talk. All she knows is that he’s terrified of being found. When her long-ago crush, police captain Sam Stern, stops by to inquire about a missing boy, Annie says she hasn’t seen him.
Big mistake. Because that lie might cost her more than a romance with Sam. It also leaves her vulnerable to a ruthless pursuer, one who’s determined to silence the boy for good.
